Is UYWR just for youth? UYWR is for anyone working with kids, teens, youth. All ages will benefit from this intense weekend of training and networking.
What is the lodging like at Camp Andrews? There are rustic cabins and dorm rooms with bunk beds. Couples have rustic rooms in the Millhouse and share a bathroom. Bring your own sheets, towels, etc. Those who prefer a creek to a shower are more than welcome. Check out Camp Andrews web site for pictures.
Are children allowed to come? UYWR is a packed weekend with no planned childcare provided. We recommend finding a babysitter so you can get the most out of the weekend. That being said, yes, children are welcome and we will do all we can to accommodate families.
Can I come for just one session? Yes, please email Wendell Nolt to let us know how many. Drop-ins are welcome but first come-first serve. We have limited space. Please let us know for meal planning. There is a suggested donation of $15/session with/ meal.
I can't afford it on my VS wages. Can you help? There is some scholarship money available. Please email and let us know your need. We do not want the cost to keep you away.
